Scandinavian Tobacco Group Eersel, the Netherlands, manufactures cigars and cigarillos to markets worldwide.
The factory covers an area of 25,691 m² and is located in Eersel, near Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
The company's 230 employees produce brands such as Café Crème and Henri Wintermans Founder's Blend, and the annual production level is in the region of 400 million cigars. STG Eersel also handles the finishing and packing of CAO cigars for markets outside the United States and produces filler and bunches for the factory in Geel, Belgium.
Besides production, the premises of STG Eersel also house the central Technical Department, the central Leaf Department and part of the corporate Marketing Department. From the spring of 2010 STG Eersel also hosts the corporate tobacco laboratory.

Background
STG Eersel was established as Henri Wintermans Cigars in 1904, when the two brothers Sjaak and Henri established a cigar production in the Dutch town of Duizel.
After 30 years the brothers had captured a large share of the domestic market, but in 1934 they amicably parted ways. Henri hired his son, Adriaan, and moved to Eersel, where the factories have been located to this day. The Henri Wintermans Sigarenfabriek concentrated on exports to new markets.
Henri Wintermans was truly a man of the world. He travelled a great deal and brought together flavours from Brazil, Cuba and Indonesia.
In 1948, Australia became one of the company’s first export countries, later to be followed by the United Kingdom and France, where Café Crème was launched in the early 60s. Café Crème still is the best-selling cigarillo in the world.
In 1966 Henri Wintermans Cigars was taken over by British American Tobacco. A few years later, in 1970, the company took over the Belgian Velasquez Cigar Company followed by acquisitions of Bobinas de Tabaco (now STG Dominicana) and Old Port and Colts Cigars (Canada - now STG Canada).
In 1996 Henri Wintermans Cigars was acquired by Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
