Scandinavian Tobacco Group United Kingdom is STG's British sales company covering the markets of the UK Mainland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.

STG United Kingdom is market leader within cigars with more than 1/3 of the market. The best selling cigar brand is Café Crème with a significant market share in the miniature cigar segment.

Background:
Scandinavian Tobacco Group United Kingdom was founded as Henri Wintermans Cigars U.K. Limited Company in 1989 by the Dutch company Henri Wintermans Cigars (HWC). The UK company became a part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group in 1996, when STG acquired HWC.

On 1 September 2000, HWC UK purchased the family-owned UK cigar importer, Loretta Cigars (London) Ltd. The two companies continued to trade as separate legal entities until 1 July 2004, when HWC UK purchased the business of Loretta and Loretta ceased trading.
