Scandinavian Tobacco Group Assens manufactures pipe tobacco, fine-cut tobacco and snuff. The company is the world's leading manufacturer of pipe tobacco and is a significant player in fine cut tobacco in Scandinavia.

STG Assens exports to around 70 countries worldwide and has an annual production volume of approx. 4,000 tons of smoking tobacco.

The two factories of Scandinavian Tobacco Group Assens are located in two towns in Denmark. The factory in Assens is the production site for pipe tobacco and the factory in Holstebro is specialised in fine-cut tobacco.

Background:
The company was established as Assens Tobaksfabrik in 1864 and was re-named Orlik Tobacco Company in 1990 when Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni (now Scandinavian Tobacco Group) acquired 50% of the company. Since 2008 the company has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
