Scandinavian Tobacco Group Indonesia

The die cut factory in Pasuruan covers an area of 8,200 m² and has 258 cutting machines that are operated directly and indirectly by 780 employees in two shifts. The factory produces yearly 550 million diecuts for the cigar production at the factories in Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark.

In Pandaan the factory makes, besides diecuts, also machine-made cigars. Its operation covers 36,000 m². The factory produces yearly 1 billion cuts, 370 million cigars and 1,5 million boxes. The machine park consists of 303 cutting machines and 89 cigar machines, operating in 3 shifts and manned directly and indirectly by 1700 employees.  Among our cigars brands are La Paz, Hajenius and Oud Kampen.

In 1998 the company started a surgery program for children born with physical deficiencies in the local community. Up until today, 106 children had surgery.

Background:
Both companies were established on Java, Indonesia, in 1992-1993 as independent entities. In 2011,  the factory in Pandaan and in Pasuruan merged as a result of the merger between Scandinavian Tobacco Group and Swedish Match Cigars.
