Do you have to be a smoker to be employed in Scandinavian Tobacco Group?
No. This is a myth that we often encounter and it is quite false. At STG we welcome both smokers and non-smokers. But we expect all applicants to feel confident about working with tobacco.
What is it like to work with a controversial product?
It is a challenge which can help you to develop. We emphasise that all staff must act with care – and that their conduct is always ethically and legally correct. Properness is a key concept for STG staff. The external world looks at us with critical eyes, and at STG we think it is appropriate that tobacco and smoking is a strict regulated area. We accept that we must act under far tighter conditions than most other companies – and we take pride in always having a high business morale.
What is the working environment like in STG?
STG is an international workplace with 4,000 staff stationed around the world. The Group's international character means that our staff have very different origins, backgrounds and training. As a staff member at any company within STG you need to have good judgement, respect for others, and act with responsibility.
