Our markets
The products of Scandinavian Tobacco Group are sold in about 115 countries in the world and we are among the world leaders within cigars and pipe tobacco.

About half of all cigars and cigarillos sold in Canada are brands from STG. The biggest brands are Colts, Old Port and Café Crème. The flavoured small cigar Colts is by far the biggest brand in the country.

In the United Kingdom Scandinavian Tobacco Group is the largest supplier of cigars. Of all miniature/cigarillo cigars, Café Crème is the biggest brand with a share in the segment of around 60%. The market share of pipe tobacco is aound 15%.

France is Scandinavian Tobacco Group's biggest cigar market in terms of volume, and STG is the biggest cigar supplier in the country. Of the five best-selling brands in the country, four come from the STG portfolio.

Belgium is one of the biggest cigar markets in the world and brands such as Mercator makes STG the market leader.

In Denmark Scandinavian Tobacco Group has achieved a market share of more than 75% in pipe tobacco, while around 85% of all fine cut tobacco and cigars sold in the country are STG products.

Scandinavian Tobacco Group is market leader in Germany within pipe tobacco.

The presence of STG products in Spain and Portugal has increased since the establishment in 2009 of STG Iberia. The market share for the big cigar market in Spain is around 8% and for pipe tobacco around 20%.

The pipe tobacco market in the United States is the biggest in the world, and STG’s market share is around 5%. The CAO cigars also give STG a position in the segment of super premium long filler cigars.

In Norway the Tiedemanns fine cut tobacco brand holds a market share around 35%.

Scandinavian Tobacco Group is present in a number of other markets in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
